A/Prof Belinda Gray (MBBS BSc(Med) PhD FRACP FCSANZ FHRS ) is a Cardiologist and Director of Sports Cardiology Program at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney and an NHMRC Early Career Fellow at the University of Sydney. She is the current chair of the CSANZ genetic council and co-founder of the CSANZ sports cardiology working group. She completed cardiology training at RPA and a Heart Foundation funded PhD in cardiac genetics and sudden cardiac death at the University of Sydney, presenting her research in the Ralph Reader Prize at CSANZ. She undertook her fellowship training in inherited cardiac conditions and sports cardiology at St George’s, University of London, UK. A/Prof Gray is a lecturer in the Masters of Sports Cardiology (MSc) at St George’s, University of London. Her research focuses on genetics, risk stratification and prevention of sudden cardiac death in the young, including young athletes and is regularly invited to speak in these areas at national and international meetings.
